On the thirt day of mobility in Catalonia we went to the Maternity Hospital of Elne, a French city near thr Spanish borders. It was a very large structure developed in height to a sort of glass dome from which we could see the surrounding areas and although it rained the effect was still wonderful. First of all a guide made us sit in a room and, with the help of a power point, she explained us thr history of the hospital and how a Swiss woman had founded it to help mothers during the Spanish civil war. The story was really moving and we could learn how hard life was at that time. Before leaving we visited the building: we saw the rooms and take pictures. On the first floor there was a large and beautiful stained glass window and for the rest of the hospital there were photos with further explanations of the history of the women who were helped there.  It was a fantastic experience that I’ll never forget.
