On the third day of our week in Catalonia we went to the maternity hospital of Elne, in France, where women gave birth during the Spanish civil war. We sat in a room where a guide explained us the story of this place and we also saw a video : we could see that women could not pay for the stay, children stayed there until three months old and they were well cared for. After that we visited the rest of the hospital where there were many photos of babies and their mothers and at last we went on the top floor from where we could see the view.
